Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham was outstanding again as he helped his side to a crucial 3-0 victory away at Girona.
Girona started the gameweek unbeaten and top of La Liga, and this was a huge test for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, which they passed with flying colours.
Bellingham provided an outstanding assist to Joselu, before rounding off the scoring himself as he was the star of the show yet again.
Bellingham grateful to be at Real Madrid
The 20-year-old has now scored seven and assisted twice in nine appearances for Los Blancos, and has been a key player since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Speaking after the game, he reiterated his delight at his form, and claimed that he is still grateful to be part of the Real Madrid team.
“I feel good in this team. I’m really enjoying my football, being here at Real Madrid,” he stated.
“Whenever I wear this shirt, I just try to do my best.”
Bellingham’s attacking role

The 3-0 victory over Girona was another example of Bellingham’s crucial role under Ancelotti. Playing behind a front two of Vinicius Junior and Joselu, it was the Englishman who provided the creative spark and output needed to seal the win.
His role essentially sees him operate as a forward more than a midfielder, but given his current and potential output, this could be the best way for him to succeed at Real Madrid. Without another established goalscorer in the squad apart from Vinicius, Bellingham has already been handed a huge responsibility to deliver in the final third.
His decision to join Real Madrid over other interested parties this summer has already proven to be a masterstroke, and all parties seem to be delighted with the deal.
Real Madrid are set to face Napoli in the Champions League, and this will be another chance for Bellingham to light up the biggest stage in European football.
