Real Madrid are two games away from reaching yet another Champions League final, but this time, they may face Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe is expected to join Los Blancos from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer at long last, having been heavily linked with a move for over two years.
Real Madrid need to get past Bayern Munich to reach Wembley, whilst PSG and Mbappe will also need to beat Bundesliga opposition in Borussia Dortmund, and it will be a fascinating clash if the Frenchman was to face his likely future club in the Champions League final.
However, despite the fact that Mbappe will be facing his potential future teammates, there will be no room for sentiment should both sides reach the final, according to defender Antonio Rudiger.
Antonio Rudiger gives Kylian Mbappe verdict ahead of Real Madrid Champions League tie
Speaking to La Media Carre on Instagram ahead of Real Madrid’s trip to face Bayern Munich, Rudiger claimed that should he come up against Mbappe in the final, there will be no friendliness despite the likely scenario that they will become teammates.
“If we face him in the final we’ll beat him,” Rudiger stated.
“And if he dribbles past me I’ll smash him,” he added jokingly.
“The best players in history have always come to Real Madrid. He’s one of the best players in the world, so it would be a good match.
“Who says that he’s coming, it’s not official,” he added.
Kylian Mbappe’s record against Real Madrid

Mbappe has played against Real Madrid on five occasions in his career so far, but has come out victorious just once.
In his first season in Paris, PSG faced Real Madrid in the round of 16, and fell to 3-1 and 2-1 defeats, with Mbappe failing to make an impact in front of goal.
However, he scored in each of his three appearances against Los Blancos since, with a goal in a 2-2 group stage draw in 2019, followed by goals home and away in the round of 16 in 2022, in which Real Madrid fought back to win 3-2 on aggregate as Karim Benzema delivered heroic performances on the way to winning the trophy.
Real will hope for similar results if Mbappe does end up facing them in the final this season, before then completing what would be one of the biggest transfers in the world this summer.
