New Real Madrid signing Arda Guler is already catching the eye just days after linking up with the squad for pre-season training, as his immense technique is already on display.
The 18-year-old has joined from Fenerbahce, and whilst he looks destined to be a star in the future, it seems that he is ready to make an immediate impact at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The step-up in joining such a big club has not fazed the young midfielder, and he has started to show why he is ready to follow the footsteps of Real Madrid greats.
A training video has now emerged of Guler performing a sensational turn which helped him beat two defenders with ease, before comfortably finishing, leaving his teammates in awe at the technique on display.
What are Guler’s aims for next season?
Despite initial indications that he could go on loan, Guler looks set to stay and become part of the first-team alongside other summer signings Jude Bellingham, Brahim Diaz and Fran Garcia.
The midfielder, who can also play on the wings, faces a tough battle on his hands given the quality and depth in the Real Madrid squad, with the likes of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Rodrygo all competing for his positions in the team.
Guler stated upon arrival that he wants to emulate his Real Madrid heroes, having idolised the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Ozil, and if he can force his way into the team next season, then he is sure to have a bright future ahead.
Although still fairly inexperienced, the teenager has shown in a short amount of time that he is talented enough to reach the very top level, and he could quickly become a fan favourite in Madrid if his skills on the training pitch can translate to the biggest games.
