Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid have some decisions to make ahead of next season over the left-back spot in the team.
Ferland Mendy has been linked with a move away, but whilst it seems that the club would prefer to sell the Frenchman, Ancelotti is rumoured to want to keep him for depth.
Real have confirmed that they have exercised their buy-back option on Fran Garcia, who enjoyed an outstanding season with Rayo Vallecano, and the Spaniard will be part of the first team next season.
Eduardo Camavinga played at left-back a lot last season, but the 20-year-old could move back to a midfield role with Garcia coming into the back four.
There have now been links with Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich, and it still remains unclear what the club have planned for the position.
Who should start at left-back for Real Madrid next season?
If we assume that Mendy departs the club, with Davies not coming in for next season, then the current options still remain as Garcia and Camavinga, with Nacho Fernandez also able to fill in.
Garcia was magnificent at Rayo last season, with his dribbling ability particularly standing out as one of the best among European fullbacks.
At just 23, Garcia has a bright future ahead of him, and bringing him back to the club after his initial sale indicates that he is finally going to get a chance to shine at the Santiago Bernabeu.

With Real Madrid now possessing an incredibly strong midfield roster, with Jude Bellingham arriving and Toni Kroos and Luka Modric extending their deals, Camavinga may have to continue at left-back in order to gain regular minutes.
Although he is naturally a midfielder, the France international put in some superb performances in defence, as his outstanding technical ability helped Real progress the ball forward.
Ancelotti could rotate between the two depending on the opposition. If he wants extra numbers in midfield, Camavinga could be selected for an inverted role. If coming up against a tough winger, then Garcia may be selected for more defensive security.
