Real Madrid will explore possible options to bring Kylian Mbappe to the club this summer even for a huge fee, French football expert Julien Laurens has claimed.
The Frenchman is currently in a stand-off against Paris Saint-Germain, with the forward wanting to run down his contract before leaving as a free agent next summer, and his club wanting a sale now or a contract extension to be signed.
Speaking on ESPN FC, Laurens has claimed that Mbappe only wants a move to Real Madrid, and that President Florentino Perez will likely speak to PSG about a move this summer, which could involve paying a significant transfer fee.
“I’ve been told he only wants to go to Madrid, if he was to leave PSG,” he stated.
“Let’s see what happens with Mbappé, it is inevitable that Florentino Pérez picks up the phone & calls Nasser to see what they can do this summer.”
How will Mbappe fit into the Real Madrid side?
Although he has been coveted by Real Madrid for a long-time, it remains to be seen how Mbappe will fit into the current side, which is currently full of young talent all over the pitch.
He may be seen as the natural successor to Karim Benzema upfront, and given his world-class passing and dribbling ability, he may slot into his role well.

However, Mbappe does tend to prefer playing on the left side of the pitch, rather than as an out-and-out striker. Given that Vinicius Junior’s natural position is on the left-wing, there is the possibility that he might have to move to a more central role to accommodate Mbappe if he does arrive.
Carlo Ancelotti is set to experiment with a diamond formation, and Mbappe could end up lining up alongside Vinicius in a front two, with Jude Bellingham behind, in what would be one of the deadliest attacks in Europe.
The Mbappe saga may come to an end this summer, and it does seem inevitable that he ends up at Real Madrid either now or in the future.
