Real Madrid have set a price tag for goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, with the Ukranian entering the final year of his contract.
The 24-year-old has served as Thibaut Courtois’ understudy for the last few seasons, and has made 17 appearances for Los Blancos, conceding 19 times and keeping four clean sheets in the process.
Marca have now reported that Lunin looks set to move on this summer in search of first-team football, and the club have set his price tag at €8m (£6.8m).
Real Madrid do not want to lose him for free, and are expecting offers for the goalkeeper despite his lack of minutes in recent seasons.
The club could turn to Getafe goalkeeper David Soria as his replacement, with cover needed for Courtois, whilst Lunin will aim to join a club where he could be first-choice.
How good is Andriy Lunin?
The keeper joined from Zorya Luhansk in 2018, and embarked on a number of loan spells before finally making the grade as Courtois’ backup, and has occasionally stepped in when the Belgian was unavailable.
Lunin’s most notable performance came in El Clasico, when Real Madrid beat Barcelona 3-1 last season, and Lunin faced 18 shots in what was just his fifth La Liga match.

Carlo Ancelotti has described him as “excellent,” and prior to his Madrid move, he was considered a goalkeeping prodigy.
Like all talented goalkeepers, Lunin needs game time to develop, and Courtois has shown no signs of slowing down. With this in mind, a permanent transfer away is the best outcome for all parties, and there is bound to be a lot of interest in the Ukraine international.
Real will need to replace him on the bench, but this should not prove too difficult, and they can be confident that Courtois will continue to be their number one for a long time before they need to think about his potential successor.
