Real Madrid have reportedly made an enquiry about a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic this summer, but the Serie A side will only sell for a huge fee.
Los Blancos are in the market for a striker following the departure of Karim Benzema, and have been linked with both Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe.
With both superstars looking somewhat unattainable this summer, they are searching for other solutions. Whilst they might be prepared to wait a year to land one of their main targets, it appears that they are keen on another addition now, and have made a phone call to Juventus about Vlahovic.
As per Sky Sport in Italy, Carlo Ancelotti has asked about the striker, but has been told that Juventus would only consider selling the Serb for a huge fee.
Given that Vlahovic may be viewed as a cheaper alternative to Kane or Mbappe, it seems unlikely that Real Madrid will be keen on a big-money move for him.
Should Real Madrid target Vlahovic?
Whilst the 23-year-old could be a good long-term option given his age, he represents a significant downgrade on any of Benzema, Kane or Mbappe, and may not be worth the potentially large investment from Los Blancos.
Vlahovic has scored 23 goals in 63 games for Juventus since his transfer from Fiorentina in January 2022, a fairly unimpressive record, whilst he also offers little in build-up play compared to Benzema.

Despite his large physique, Vlahovic ranks poorly in the air compared to other strikers, and does not possess elite passing or dribbling abilities like Mbappe. Bringing him in now would likely prevent moves for the other targets, and he is still not at the desired level for Real Madrid.
Ancelotti is set to depart Real Madrid at the end of the season, so he may not be prepared to wait for a new striker, but Real should steer clear of any big-money purchase of Vlahovic.
