Real Madrid have been offered Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, but the club have doubts over a deal thanks to his price tag.
The 23-year-old joined The Old Lady in January 2022 for around £66m, but Juventus’ struggles both on and off the pitch could see him leave.
The Serbian international scored 14 goals in 42 games last season, and could be Real Madrid’s replacement for Karim Benzema this summer.
A report from AS has claimed that the forward has been offered to Carlo Ancelotti’s side, but the finances over the deal may prevent a move from happening.
Is Vlahovic good enough for Real Madrid?
Aside from the price tag, there remain serious question marks over whether Vlahovic is suitable for Real Madrid’s front line.
Without the pace and mobility of wide attackers Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, who could potentially move to the centre, Vlahovic does not have the playmaking ability that Benzema brought to the side with so much success.
The Serbian ranks lowly amongst his peers for his passing, and ball-carrying, areas in which Benzema ranked as one of the best in Europe as per FBref.

His goal record at Juventus leaves a lot to be desired, and whilst he has been performing in a side which has struggled in attack, he has not shown enough quality to justify a big-money move to Real Madrid to become a starter, and the anticipated finances involved means he will be too expensive as a bench option.
Real Madrid are seemingly waiting for Kylian Mbappe as the future of their front-line, and Vlahovic is nowhere near the Frenchman in terms of both quality in front of goal and all-round play.
Paying a premium price for the Juventus striker now would come at the opportunity cost of further additions elsewhere or in the next few windows, and he does not provide enough immediate quality to sanction a deal.
