Report: Real Madrid eye up three deals with hope of repeating success of 23-year-old

Real Madrid want to repeat the business they undertook with left-back Fran Garcia, by selling three top talents in Sergio Arribas, Carlos Dotor and Rafa Marin.

They would like sell-on and buyback clauses inserted into each deal, as each player can move away and develop, and if they perform well, they can return to the club at a cut price.

All three are stars with the Castilla team, and performed exceptionally last season. Their problem right now, is that there is no easy route into the Real Madrid first team.

A report from Relevo has pointed out that the ages of the players means that they will not be able to play for the academy teams for much longer, and there is currently too much competition in the first-team for them to thrive.

Marin, a centre-back, will have to compete with the likes of Eder Militao, David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger. An experienced international star in Nacho is struggling for minutes, so there is little hope for the 21-year-old.

Dotor is the captain of the Castilla team, but the arrivals of Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler to an already-packed midfield roster leaves him with little choice but to depart.

Arribas is arguably the biggest talent in the entire academy, and the versatile forward is already attracting interest from a number of clubs.

Why are Real Madrid using this tactic?

Los Blancos could just loan each player out whilst keeping them on the books as Real Madrid players, but the success of Garcia has shown them that this sell-and-rebuy route could be the way forward for their young talents.

Garcia was sold to Rayo Vallecano for a small fee, but first-team exposure helped him gain enough experience that he developed into a defender good enough for the Real Madrid first team. The clauses in his initial sale meant he returned to the club cheaply, and is now ready for regular minutes at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Given that there is no guarantee that each talent develops well enough away from the club, sales also mean that if the players do not reach Real Madrid level, then the club has no obligation to bring them back.
