Real Madrid have a new superstar in Jude Bellingham, and his injury-time winner against Getafe was another highlight in what has been an incredible start to his career in La Liga.
The Englishman scored right at the death as Real Madrid came back from 1-0 down to win at the Santiago Bernabeu and continue their 100% record at the start of the season.
Lucas Vazquez saw a long-range strike parried out by goalkeeper David Soria, with the rebound falling to Bellingham, who pounced to slot in and send the Bernabeu wild.
Borja Mayoral had opened the scoring before fellow summer arrival Joselu found an equaliser in the second half.
On what was his home debut for the club, Bellingham has already become a hero at Los Blancos, and he has now admitted that the crowd were unlike anything he has experienced so far.
“I’ve never heard a stadium sound so loud in my life,” he stated in the dressing room following the victory.
“Unbelievable. Stressful, but it couldn’t have ended better.”
Bellingham’s brilliance
Despite being just 20, Bellingham has already adapted quickly to life at Real Madrid, and his performances have been sensational.
He has been praised as one of the most complete midfielders in the world, and playing in his advanced role, his goalscoring antics are helping replace Karim Benzema’s influence up front.

It was his intelligent movement and quick thinking that saw him latch onto the rebound to score, and having scored the winner against Celta Vigo, he is now proving more decisive than anyone else.
With Vinicius Junior currently injured, Bellingham has stepped up as the main star in the team, and he seems to be relishing the pressure that comes with being a Real Madrid Galactico. With Zinedine Zidane’s shirt number on his back, he is now oozing class in the Spanish capital just like the legendary Frenchman did two decades ago.
